Who it is for

Grassroots groups doing real work, quietly.

Community-based organisations, small NGOs, women’s and youth groups, faith-based projects. If you are doing good work and finding it hard to show it, this is for you.

  • You do good work but have little online presence, or an out-of-date site.
  • Funders ask for reports and you are not sure what they want.
  • Your team is brilliant in the field and stretched in the office.
  • You want help that fits a small budget, in plain language.

Three kinds of help

What we do.

Use one or all three. Most organisations start with whichever is hurting most.

01

Websites and digital tools

A clear, fast website that your community, partners and funders can trust, and that your own team can keep up to date.

  • A plain-language site that says what you do, where, and how to help
  • Contact and donation options that actually work, tested before launch
  • Pages light enough to load on a mid-range phone and a slow connection
  • Your own domain and hosting set up in your organisation’s name
  • A short handover so your staff can edit text and photos themselves

02

Training and capacity building

Practical, down-to-earth sessions on the things small organisations are asked about most.

  • Governance basics: boards, roles, policies and meeting records
  • Record-keeping and simple financial management
  • Writing proposals and reports funders can follow
  • Telling your story honestly, with consent and care for the people in it
  • Safeguarding and data protection in plain language

03

Impact tracking and reporting

Simple ways to record what you do and what changes as a result, turned into reports a funder can read in five minutes.

  • Choosing a handful of measures that really matter to your work
  • Easy forms and spreadsheets your team will actually use
  • Turning raw records into clear summaries and charts
  • Report templates that match what funders typically ask for
  • A rhythm for reviewing results and acting on them

How it works

Five steps, no surprises.

  • You own it Your domain, your content, your data. Nothing is locked to us.
  • Made for your team If your staff cannot update it, we have not finished the job.
  • Light on data Pages that load fast for people on small phones and tight budgets.
  • Honest about people Photos and stories are used with consent, and children are protected.
  1. A conversation

We start by listening: what you do, who you serve, what is getting in the way. No jargon, no sales pitch.

  2. A short plan

We agree what is worth doing first, who does what, how long it will take and what it will cost, in writing, before any work begins.

  3. Build or train

We make the thing, or run the sessions, with your team involved at every step so nothing is a surprise.

  4. Hand over

You keep the keys. We show your people how everything works and leave plain notes behind.

  5. Check in

A little while later we look at how it is going and fix what needs fixing.

Questions

Things people ask us.

How much does it cost?

It depends on what you need, so we do not publish a price list. After a first conversation we agree the scope and the cost with you in writing, before any work starts, and we keep small organisations’ budgets firmly in mind.

Do I need to be in Wakiso or Busia?

No. Our programmes are in those two districts, but NGO Support is open to small non-profits across Uganda. Much of the work can be done remotely.

We already have a website. Can you help?

Yes. Often the most useful thing is to look at what you have, fix what is holding it back, and show your team how to manage it.

Will we own our website and data?

Yes. The domain, the content and any records are yours. We set things up in your organisation’s name and write down where everything lives.

Can you train our staff in person?

That is usually the best way. Tell us where you are and what you would like covered and we will see what is practical.

Start a conversation

Tell us about your organisation.

A few lines is plenty: who you are, where you work and what you would like help with.

We reply in English, and we will only use your details to answer you.

Stronger organisations, stronger communities.

When small NGOs can show their work, more good work gets funded. Let us help yours.
